Sex, Age, Comment | A flock of around 80 birds at the gate to Finderupvej. A good year for the species in Copenhagen this winter. Males with the broad yellow tail band and red wax drops on the wing with yellow edges. Young birds and females show narrow tail band and are without the red droplets and yellow on the wing. The winter birds are strictly nomadic, moving on as soon as all available food, berries, has been consumed. Photo 11 and 12 show a banded bird.
