Sex, Age, Comment | Rarity. Some say 1cy bird. I'm not sure. Would have thought that a young bird would have had broader pale fringes to coverts for example and paler primaries when seeing the wing folded. Otherwise a classic appearance with long legs, short tail and limited white on this than compared to Northern Wheatear. Dark lore indicates a male. Dark alula, beige basic color with paler eyebrow in front of the eye are field marks. As is the pale underwing, and the upright posture when the bird was scouting. Ran a lot about in the sand catching insects. It rained, why the bird appears a bit shaggy. | ||||||||||||
