Sex, Age, Comment | 1cy - 1 cycle bird. Contrary to the other big gulls this one is only a 3 year type, thus following the smaller gulls, e.g. Bonapartes, in plumage development. The tricolored impression is characteristic for these young birds: Dark at the rear end, brown on the wings and whitish at the front and below. Here also a very strong bill.
