Sex, Age, Comment | The strong contrast between belly and breast and apparent flank bars could suggest a Long-billed. However, the bird looks like a first winter with very worn greater wing coverts, and young birds of both species are supposed to be more irregular in their plumage aspects, why I'll tend to ignore that in this situation. Structurally, however, the bird seems to fit well with a Short-billed based on the flat back with top point close to the head region. Believe most in Short-billed. | ||||||||||||
