Identification:
Similar to Forester in size and color, though generally less shining. has a short yellow proboscis where Forester has a long brown one.
Worn Forester can look alike, but Blackthorn Aurora Moth often shows a characteristic contrast between a green head region and brownish wings.

Habitat:
In Scandinavia (Finland) only found in bogs, but in Central Europe also on dry heath land.
Behavior:
Flying low above the ground. The males more mobile and exploring than the females that keep close to where they were hatched.
Status:
Spreading from south to Scandinavian countries. Present now in SW Denmark and S Finland.
Host plants:
Hedelyng (Calluna vulgaris) [Heather ~ Brecina ~ Ljung]
Mose-Bølle (Vaccinium uliginosum) [Bog Blueberry ~ Arándano Negro ~ Odon]
Feeding plants:
Imago does not visit flowers.
