Imago Safirsøen. Both species are present and due to a complicated reproduction scheme (Hybridogenesis) they produce offspring that consequently show characters of either species. Apparently the voice can't be used either to distinguish them as they are similar too. However, I'm pretty sure the quack-sounds I heard were very different from the ones I hear on Amager, where the Edibe Frog is common and the only one present. A deeper slower sound... |
