2017-09-15    Rancho Primavera (El Tuito - jal), Mexico

Poisonous (lethal, according to the literature) and apparently aggressive if it it feels threatened. My first, and ranch-owner Bonnie had never seen it either. It was about 50 cm long. It was lying on the access road, and I actually stepped over it before I realized that it was a snake. It retreated quietly into the vegetation after taking these photos.
