One of the most common sea turtles in the world, though it has been diminished in number over the last decades. Here a pair in the mating action where the male hooks on to the female from behind, and continues the action like this for several hours. The females of this species are known to lay eggs simultaneously in big flocks on selected nights, Arribadas, which in Oaxaca normally happens in September-October.
