|Ring-tailed Ground Squirrel (Spermophilus annulatus) (Mammals)|
|es: Ardilla de Tierra de Cola Anillada|
2012-02-15 Laguna La Maria, Comala, Col, Mexico
Endemic to the Pacific coast. Very common here in Colima.
2019-06-28 Cueva Altitle near La Huerta, Jalisco, Mexico
The common squirrel around here. The tail doesn't look very ringed, but the flimsy quality is a good indicator for this species, as is the sound. It is the sharp huit call, which easily resembles a bird call. Also: Happy Wren, Sinaloa Wren, frogs.
