Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (Sphyrapicus varius) monotypic Gulbuget Saftspætte ~ Carpintero Moteado ~ Gulbröstad Savspett 2019-11-29 Parque Ecológico Macuiltépetl (Xalapa), Mexico Likely young female, second calendar year. The very sooty smudgy underpart and smudgy coloration to the hind neck probably indicate a young age, but the bright red cap seems to better fit an adult female at this time of year, and the white throat a female.
