Wilson's Snipe (Gallinago delicata) monotypic Amerikansk Bekkasin ~ Agachona Norteamericana ~ Wilsonbeckasin 2009-11-13 Presa La Colorada (agu), Mexico
In the moment of writing, January 2012, my till date only observation of the species in Mexico. Must have an eastern distribution pattern when it visits during winter. Compared to Common Snipe from Europe, Wilson has more dark mottled markings on the belly and flanks giving a darker impression. |
