Roadside Hawk (Rupornis magnirostris) ebird/Clements (2021)
	1667 (3 photos) Roadside Hawk (Rupornis magnirostris griseocauda) Tyknæbbet Våge ~ Aguililla Caminera 2014-02-18 La Cienega, Manzanillo, Colima (Col), Mexico 2cy bird. The amber colored eye belongs to the young bird. The ones of the adult are bright yellow. Reminds a lot of Gray Hawk, but especially the head markings are different on the young birds. Gray Hawk has a more prominent white eyebrow, dark eye stripe and a strong brown malar stripe on white cheek. Has the same bright upper tail coverts as the young Gray Hawk, and can be difficult to separate from this. However, Roadside Hawk is generally a darker brown bird. The species is widespread, but here in Colima is seen far less than Gray Hawk.
	1670 (1 photos) Roadside Hawk (Rupornis magnirostris griseocauda) Tyknæbbet Våge ~ Aguililla Caminera 2014-03-02 Valle de las Garzas (laguna), Manzanillo, Colima (Col), Mexico Not sure about age, but think it is an adult because of the regular flank markings. The bright upper tail coverts can belong to both young and old birds. The rather long tail combined with the dark brown appearance are good indications of this species.
	1671 (4 photos) Roadside Hawk (Rupornis magnirostris griseocauda) Tyknæbbet Våge ~ Aguililla Caminera 2014-03-04 Salinas de Cuyutlán, Colima (Col), Mexico Adult with yellow eye and reddish streaks on the belly and chest, and with a more uniformly colored party of gray brown on the upper breast. Doesn't seem to be as shy as other raptors - Gray Hawk for example.
	2156 (6 photos) Roadside Hawk (Rupornis magnirostris conspectus / griseocauda) Tyknæbbet Våge ~ Aguililla Caminera 2016-01-05 Tikal PN, Petén, Guatemala The flying bird is probably one of the pair, and the one on the antenna the other. Both are adults. Very characteristic hawk with the uniformly colored, gray-brown, upper breast in contrast with the coarsely streaked breast and belly, rufous-brown. The distribution limit between the two subspecies mentioned goes through the northern Guatemala. Conspectus should be paler than griseocauda, but not sure how easy it is to see this difference in the field.
	2160 (2 photos) Roadside Hawk (Rupornis magnirostris conspectus / griseocauda) Tyknæbbet Våge ~ Aguililla Caminera 2016-01-08 Tikal PN, Petén, Guatemala Adult. Presume the same as 2156. Seen in the clearing at the restaurants at the beginning of the road toward Uaxactún.
