Adult. ♂. Lake toward sw corner of area (Vagthussøen). Found today by Finn! Eagerly foraging on cattail, but in periods disappeared from the lake for up to an hour, probably having another spot to attend; when breeding, they build several nests in different locations. First in many years on Amager. I thought was some 20 years since I saw it the last time, but checking my records, I had birds in both 2008 and 2011. Still a while, though... The dark markings at the front must be pollen from the cattail. Was not found the day after. |
