A surprise to find a pair of this species on this side of Ciudad Guzmán. Sang spontaneously when I passed by along the road. Thick understory in pine-oak forest. Recording also: Orange-billed Nightingale-Thrush. Endemic |

Adult. Unmistakable. Other than 3044. This one also came out from the shrub when I played a scolding alarm call of the Plumbeous Vireo. In fact there were two, perhaps a pair. A very efficient technique to provoke the passerines of the forest; much more so than using the pygmy-owl technique. Endemic |

Adult. The most precious and unmistakable of all the vireos in Mexico. Apparently a faithful summer resident in this part of the hills above Cd. Guzmán. This one came out when I played a scolding alarm call from a Plumbeous Vireo. An excellent way to provoke the smaller birds in the forest. Endemic |
