Subspecies: dominicensis Punta Cocos. 2cy bird? Like a Tropical Kingbird with large dimensions and without yellow green in the plumage. However, young birds do have yellowish lower vent and under tail coverts, which is why I want to call this one a young bird, because you can see a few yellowish feathers sticking out between the wing and the back. The whitish edges to the elongated upper tail coverts is typical for the species. A scarce migrant in Mexico, along the Quintana Roo coast. |
