Subspecies: ??? Field marks: Robust, broadshouldered, brownish and beige colors, bright throat in contrast tp dark head and darker breast, long and broad bill as well as top positioned way back on the head giving it a square profile. Furthermore the eyering is not so pronounced though a bit difficult to judge on this photo. The bird reacted instantly to playback and started singing itself - a nice way to have the id confirmed. The weak eyering is more obvious on this photo as well as the broad rectangular tail, another good field mark. |
