2016-08-07 Kalvebod Fælled, Denmark Subspecies: islandicus Adult bird with the reddish breast and dark silvery back. On it's way back to the wintering site. Only a few stop on the way south, the majority doing the migration in one single stretch. Also Green-winged Teal, Dunlin and Black-headed Gull. |

2018-04-15 Playa el Tecolote (La Paz - bcs), Mexico Subspecies: ? Basic plumage. The silvery look is typical for the species. But still I achieved to mis-judge this bird, until I started to work with the photos. I'm not saying what I originally thought it was, but I'm sure the rocky surface and the bird's at times upright stance, made me go wrong. Here with Surfbird and Black-bellied Plover. |
