2020-04-19 Kalvebod Fælled, Denmark Adult, apparently. So judged by founder. I only saw it shortly at some distance and as here when flying. On the ground it looked slimmer and smaller than nearby Common Greenshanks why I have no reason to doubt the identification. But judging the bird in the photos is somewhat more difficult. The legs are not very long and the bill doesn't look narrow and black as is common for the species. I could have followed the wrong bird when it flew off, but others followed it too, so I think it is just an optical distortion making it look more like a greenshank. Was found at Villahøj, and it flew south probably to Klydesøen. Rare |
