Subspecies: columbarius Female taiga type. Uncommon visitor in Colima. First for the estuary. The picture is a merge of two photos, thus only 1 bird present! |

Subspecies: columbarius (Taiga) Male because of the deep lead-colored back. And the color of the back and the face markings make me say it is a Taiga type bird. In all I would expect a female to be paler. |
