2017-03-15 Camino Vigia Chico (roo), Mexico Subspecies: candida Sexes and ages alike. Looks like a female type of many other species, with the red lower mandible, the clear white underside and greenish upper side. The tail is without any orange coloration and laterally has a unique dark subterminal band. In overlap zones Azure-crowned Hummingbird might look similar but is larger with more slender proportions. |
