2017-03-23 Río La Tovara (nay), Mexico Subspecies: lambi We had several birds on the way back, but this one was the most cooperative. Am wondering if the ball shaped eyes helps the bird to keep an eye out (!) without having to move the body, and thereby revealing it self by movement since the eyes can move in all directions and independently of each other. At least that's what it looks like on photo 7 and 8 where the eyes look in different directions |
