Tentatively calling it such a bird! Likely female with traits mainly of Pale-billed like long black front reaching the top of the crown, the completely black throat and the gray skin around the eye. On the back the white lines almost meet, which is a Pale-billed character as well. And the bird was calling like a Pale-billed. But what makes me suspect a hybrid is the rather dark color of the bill, and the very marked black and white that protrudes into the red head color which is normally only seen on Lineated and not on Pale-billed. At least I can't seem to find any convincing photos of birds, where there is this much black and white inside the red area. However, can't seem to find any information about hybrids between the two either, and the two belonging to separate genera, that might speak against it been a such. But then again, the fact that the two birds are so alike and are living so close together in this part of Mexico, makes me think that it isn't impossible, and perhaps even likely that it does happen...
