2018-10-06 Lago Pátzcuaro (mic), Mexico Puente Jarácuaro. A mix of ducks of the type Blue-winged / Cinnamon, with perhaps Green-winged Teals mixed in. Difficult to say since they are all in eclipse plumage. A few Northern Pintails are easier to spot with their longish proportions and white trailing edge to the arm. I estimated the flock contained ca. 500 birds. |
