Too poor photos to judge age from, but in the field the wings looked sharp and contrasting like to be expected on a young bird.

Found on the flats from southern observations tower on the dike, in direction toward the middle tower. Got chased away by a Northern Lapwing, but later refound from the middle tower, hiding from the wind behind the rock.

Rare migrant in eastern Denmark, and my first on Amager. I found it.

As clear as a blurry blob...

Knowing your Scandinavian birds I'm sure you would have been able to guess it. Medium-sized darkish brown on belly in open dry grassland.

Relatively many have visited the eastern parts of Denmark during the last week. They only migrate north along the west coast of Jutland, but with continued and strong westerly winds many have been pushed off their normal course. Some 12-15 are still present on Vestamager as in the moment of writing, 18th of May.

Subspecies: [monotypic]
Sydtårn.
Likely a very worn and pale male. An unusual bird. It didn't show the classic broad white eyebrow behind the eye, but did show a demarcation between the upper breast and the belly as expected. The structure of the bird also supported this species as did the behavior, slowly foraging, alone, away from the also present golden-plovers.
