Lesser White-fronted Goose (Anser erythropus)
Lesser White-fronted Goose (Anser erythropus) monotypic
Ducks, Geese and Waterfowl (Anatidae)
Kalvebod Fælled, Amager, Denmark
Today two adults showed up at Svenskeholmvej among thousands of Barnacle Geese. Typical long white front and the yellowish eye-ring. Size was just like the Barnacles. The two birds between the one with the two blue leg bands was considerably larger than the other, which wasn't banded. The latter indicating that it might be a younger bird, born after the banding projects were taking place.
The blue bands were marked with a white number 5, according to Kasper Thorup who saw them closer by in telescope.
I found these myself.
