Adult at nesting area. Few breeding pairs on the island. Opposite the Blue-footed Booby the Red-footed breeds in trees. Same trees as the Frigatebirds which are present in abundance. Maybe the reason why the booby isn't present in larger number.
Adult type of the dark form. The Pacific birds often have dark tail and lower rump, as it is seen here. Never really got to look at the bird in the situation since it came in and disappeared again too fast. Saw another similar bird on the trip. A young Brown Booby is likely the biggest confusing risk. But though I admit that I don't have much experience with Red-footed, I'm pretty sure I've never seen a young Brown showing so strong buffy coloration to the underside as this bird does.
