Adult bird with the reddish breast and dark silvery back. On it's way back to the wintering site. Only a few stop on the way south, the majority doing the migration in one single stretch. Also Green-winged Teal, Dunlin and Black-headed Gull.

Basic plumage. The silvery look is typical for the species. But still I achieved to mis-judge this bird, until I started to work with the photos. I'm not saying what I originally thought it was, but I'm sure the rocky surface and the bird's at times upright stance, made me go wrong. Here with Surfbird and Black-bellied Plover.

Horrible photo. The species is uncommon in this part of the country, but winters (northern winter) in the south in Tierra del Fuego, in large flocks. One bird was present. The other birds are Black-bellied Plovers.
