Adult. The only bird of the species which has found my feeder, but apparently it likes it, because it has been coming daily throughout the last month. Also see 2740-41 of the same bird.
Very likely the same as 2740, since I've only noticed one Violet-crowned come to my feeder. As always it is remarkable how different a hummingbird can look depending on the angle and the light. Truly one of the most fascinating bird groups to exist.
Adult bird in fresh plumage. This bird was the first hummingbird that came to my feeder, why it has a special place in my heart. It continues to come even though it now has competition from the 3 different male Broad-billed Hummingbirds. But they all only stay briefly, why I don't think there'll ever be problems between them.
