Likely male with moderate up-bent bill. Beginning basic plumage. Probably 2cy because of brownish tertials and coverts.

Pullus. For documentation only. Not sure if it happens every year 2 pairs with each 3 pullus were seen. There is quite a lot of disturbance around the reservoir: children and farmers amongst others, and when the reservoir sometimes dries up completely, it is easy to imagine the difficulties being a successful breeder at this locality.
